Hello everyone, I’m Christina and I have wanted to lose weight since around age 13. Body image and how others see you can be a big deal at that age.  I have tried several different exercise and diet programs over the years but the one thing I failed to focus on in those earlier years was balance. In my 20’s I could spend a lot more time at the gym and I didn’t have to pay too close attention to diet. Also, drinking like it’s the new prohibition was probably not the greatest thing. 😉 About Christina

Some of these early bad habits did spill over into my early 30’s. I believe the earlier we start making healthier choices the better. Doing some research, I noticed there’s a ton of information out there specific to women over 40, over 50, and older about their fitness and losing weight but there wasn’t much targeted to women in their 30’s.

The reason I created this site is to help women reach their weight loss and fitness goals and provide support for the struggles. I also wanted to have a site targeted to my age group where we can share ideas and motivate each other.  I am a big advocate of women supporting other women.

There are so many possibilities and new things happening in the Health and Wellness industry and I enjoy exploring these things.  If anything interests you feel free to comment, talk about what is or isn’t working for you, share your ideas, give advice, and share success stories.

My weight loss and fitness journey today…

This will always be a journey for me because there is always room for improvement in anything but at the age of 37 I am now starting to have balance. I choose not to conform to what others think my success should look like.  I determine that for myself. I don’t beat myself up over diet mistakes or hurt myself with excessive exercise. I don’t obsess about what I will or won’t eat or spend hours on meal planning. I do my best to eat healthy and watch my portions.  I exercise regularly doing what I enjoy including going to the kickboxing gym, hiking, and weight lifting.

I feel that each person needs to find what works for them and stay consistent. I am kind to myself and find joy in each small success, reminding myself that small successes combined lead to awesome results.  I enjoy life with family and friends not allowing the “diet” to take over.
